Wikipedia
Adolf Endler (20 September 1930 – 2 August 2009) was a lyricist, poet, essayist and prose author who played a central role in subcultural activities that opposed the model of socialist realism in the German Democratic Republic up until the collapse of the eastern bloc in the early 1990s. Endler became recognized as a leading figure of the oppositional literary scene at Prenzlauer Berg in the eastern part of Berlin.
