Stephen Hawking was one of the most influential thinker, researcher and a popular scientist who has contributed to the field of astrophysics. He has held the post of the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, the chair held by Sir Issac Newton in 1663, for 30 years. He was awarded the Companion of Honour in 1989. He as the fellow of he Royal Society and a member of the US National Academy of Science. He has written many books and is believed to be one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists since Einstein.
